Shapeshifter: A Fall Editorial
When it came time to plan our fall editorial, one image came to mind: the graceful and beautiful Reshma Gajjar. And when the actor, dancer, and choreographer — who you’ve probably seen performing on the AMAs and the Emmys as well as in La La Land — paired up with our equally talented photographer and stylist Stephanie Pia for a film photoshoot (both 120mm and 35mm) through downtown Los Angeles and Highland Park with pieces by an all LA designer lineup that included Jujumade, Annabell Plee, Shaina Mote, Rafa, Mondo Mondo, Ciao Lucia, Eve Denim, Fabiana Pigna, and Giu Giu, our theme naturally began to take shape — literally.
The images captured drew inspiration from all the shapes that surrounded us: the structure — both hard and soft — of clothing and accessories, the sculptures, the skyscrapers, the swelling landscape, and the forms Gajjar made as she danced and creatively moved through each setup.
