Make This Coffee Body Scrub in a Snap
My product obsession is as real as my desire for brighter, smoother, and healthier skin, and while I'm down to try anything from a pricey serum utilizing the latest in technology to a tried-and-true drug store find, it's always especially satisfying — for both my sensitive skin and my wallet — when I can whip up a DIY treatment at home. I always go back to this body scrub, which used just three ingredients and you've probably already got 'em.
Do you drink coffee? Perfect. Regardless of if you percolate, press, or pour-over, simply save your cooled-off grinds for this scrub — the caffeine is said to help improve circulation and minimize the appearance of cellulite. I mix with equal parts sugar, which is a natural humectant (in layman's, it holds moisture in) and add a drizzle of coconut oil.
I won't lie, this gets crazy messy so do the whole scrub-down in your tub and then rinse off. I don't recommend doing this scrub pre-shave since the oil will totally clog your razor (no bueno), but if you want to use it to exfoliate beforehand, just skip that ingredient. Either way you'll benefit from softer skin and an undeniable glow. Just be sure to rinse the tub out well when you're done, cause nothing will squash your post-scrub shine like a stained shower.
